We've had a lot of transition in the Timmons household lately!
We said goodbye to Becca today. After living with us for 15 months, she moved into a house with a girlfriend this afternoon. It is already really weird with her gone. There are so many things about life here that make me think of her. Aaron and I are so grateful for the opportunity to have her live with us. She is a wonderful friend and Joyce is one lucky roommate!
At about 18 months old Mary started showing interest in potty training. Giddy to be done with diapers earlier than expected, I jumped in. About 18 months later I am now qualified to write a book. "Potty training: what not to do" or "Potty Training in 18 months or more." Out of sheer exasperation on Thursday morning I grabbed a bag and we went on a hunt for all diapers and pullups. I told her they are going bye-bye and she is wearing underwear. Period.
On Thursday, Josiah had his 4 month check-up and immuniations. He weighed 12# 12oz. and was 24.5". His weight is in the 8th percentile and his height in the 29th. At the end of the month he will go in to have his hips set in place. If it is successful he will come home with a cast and if not they will do an invasive surgery later. He was given a 50% chance of success for this first one. We are being optimistic and planning accordingly. For him, that has meant learning to sleep on his back unswaddled. We started this morning. Mommy has recoiled and he is sleeping on his side right now. :)
